Frequently Asked Questions:
How do I get a BikeRescue program at my School or Youth Centre?
Please email us through either the form on this page or Darren Thomas Dismantle's Business Manager, at email@example.com, to discuss how we can provide a program to the young people who you are involved with. BikeRescue is very modular and can be adapted to suit a range of locations, structures or timetables. Please don't hesitate to get in contact with us so we can help by empowering and engaging your young people.
Can I donate a bicycle to you?
Absolutely... BUT as there are so many lovely helpful people who love to donate bicycles to our programs we might say no. Please send us an email with some photos of your bicycle(s) and our mechanic will get in touch. Unfortunately we do not have the time resources to pick up bicycles from donors so if you want to donate a bicycle you will have to be able to drop it off to our workshop during work hours.
Can I volunteer at Dismantle?
At the moment we are not in a position to take on volunteers. As we continue to adapt and improve as an organisation to improve our social impact then we might reach a stage to take on volunteers. Stay tuned to our website and facebook page for details of when we will start providing volunteering oppurtunities.
Can you fix my bike?
BikeRescue and BikeTherapy is entirely focused on empowering young people through bicycle mechanics and we do not complete maintenance on the general publics bike. If you're two wheeled steed is in need of a service and you'd like to support us please contact BikeDr.
Our BikeDr social enterprise offers bike servicing and courses specifically designed for central Perth area workplaces as well as having a high quality workshop with highly qualified mechanics. So we can come and visit your workplace if you need some servicing done. Get in touch with the Pearce or Luke to discuss a booking.
Can BikeDr come to my event?
Yes absolutely. Our BikeDr social enterprise offers a pop-up bike check service specifically designed for events. We arrive with our customised cargo bike and all the tools, consumables and equipment needed to check up to 20 bicycles per hour. We also offer a range of maintenance courses. See the BikeDr website for pricing and more details.
