I'm Cheryl and I've been mentoring, counselling and collaborating with young people for more than ten years. I've been a youth worker in a wide variety of settings in both non-profit organisations and local governments. Youth work is a diverse field, so I also have experience in marketing, events planning, program design and delivery, facilitation, data collection, policy development and writing reports, proposals and grant applications.

I am incredibly passionate about building real and trusting relationships with kids doing it tough. With Dismantle, I can do that in a hands-on way. I love the structure of the program, and the unique way I can connect with participants while working with them in a challenging environment.

I am driven by genuine human connection and am interested in ways of building community. I'm currently studying Community Development at Murdoch University and hope to pursue a career in this area, hopefully linked in with my strong passion for community arts and Indigenous affairs.
