Cape2Cape Community Continues to Back Young People Across WA

Dismantle would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Event Matrix and the entire Cape2Cape community for another incredible year of support at the iconic Margaret River Cape2Cape mountain bike race.

Cape2Cape has been a valued partner to Dismantle for more than a decade, and this year’s event was a standout. Thanks to the generosity and enthusiasm of riders, supporters and volunteers, Dismantle sold out of its charity socks! A huge thank you to everyone who grabbed a pair.

This year’s raffle featured a Giant mountain bike, with proceeds shared between Dismantle and Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation, the official fundraising charity for Perth Children’s Hospital. The Foundation supports world-class equipment, research and programs that help sick children get well and stay well, making the raffle a meaningful way to support two important causes.

Funds raised through Cape2Cape play a critical role in supporting Dismantle’s work with disadvantaged young people across Western Australia. This support helps deliver BikeRescue programs, employ young people through ReNew Property Maintenance, and provide the wraparound support that enables young people to build confidence, skills and real pathways into employment and education.

Dismantle CEO Pat Ryan said the long-standing relationship with Cape2Cape continues to make a genuine difference.

“Cape2Cape has been an incredible partner to Dismantle for over ten years. Thanks to the dedication and generosity of the Cape2Cape community, we’ve been able to reach hundreds of disadvantaged young people across WA,” Ryan said.

“The funds raised through this event have real, tangible impact. They help us deliver BikeRescue programs, employ young people through ReNew, and provide the wraparound support that helps change lives.”

Ryan also acknowledged the efforts of Event Matrix and everyone involved in bringing the event together.

“A huge thank you to the Cape2Cape and Event Matrix teams and everyone who got involved. Your energy and generosity help us keep creating real opportunities for young people who deserve a fair go. It’s a powerful reminder of what community can achieve when it comes together with purpose.”

Dismantle is deeply grateful to everyone who rode, donated, bought socks, purchased raffle tickets or stopped by to support the cause. The ongoing support of the Cape2Cape community continues to help young people across WA build brighter futures, one bike, one job and one opportunity at a time.
